Policies for Prevention of COVID-19

I hope you are doing well during this difficult time and want to be here for you in any way I can. I have made some important changes to ensure I am following the CDC guidelines and The Department of Health standards regarding Covid-19.  I am closely monitoring the situation and will continue to make changes as I see fit.

Cleanliness and sanitation have always been a top priority of mine.  To keep you, other guests, and staff safe and healthy we have added the following safety precautions to reduce the risk of spreading germs:

Client Safety Practices

  • I have become Barbicide certified.

  • The waiting area is temporarily closed.  When arriving for your appointment, please remain in your car and call or text me to let me know you have arrived.  If you are walking to salon you can just wait outside, but please practice safe social distancing.

  • I ask all customers with an appointment to leave any guests at home or in their car as they will not be allowed into the salon.

  • When the room is ready, I will call and give you instructions to wait just inside the doorway for instant temperature scanning a few questions and to sign a liability waiver.

  • Please delay your visit with me if you are feeling any flu-like symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who has been sick. â €

  • If your temperature is not over 100.4  you may head directly to the sink to wash your hands before entering the treatment room.

  • You must wear a protective face mask inside the salon.  If you forget your mask I will have a disposable one available for you and a $5.00 charge will be added to your service total.

  • Hand sanitization will be provided.

  • A $10 PPE charge will be applied to your service to absorb the additional costs of sanitation supplies.

Changes to Tipping

  • If you would like to leave a cash tip after your service there will be Zip-Loc bag in the room for you to Place your cash in.

  • You may also use Venmo to tip.  My Venmo account name is @kelly-leblanc-

In Treatment Room

  • I ask that each client be prompt with their changing before and after each service, to ensure the time I have designated for cleanup/sanitizing is not interrupted.

  • PLEASE KEEP YOUR MASK ON AT ALL TIMES FOR YOUR OWN SAFTEY AND MY SAFTEY AS WELL.

The next few items are the things I will be practicing.  I want to be completely transparent with my plans and efforts towards prevention within my space. Please read below.

Procedures During Services

  • Staff performing services shall wear appropriate personal protective equipment. (mask, gloves, and, face shield when appropriate)

  • Staff shall wash their hands with soap and water prior to providing services to each client.

  • Products shall be dispensed using sprayers, shakers, pumps, or clean spatulas to avoid contamination.

Procedures After Each Customer

  • The treatment bed and chair shall be wiped down with an EPA registered disinfectant.

  • Disposable tools, implements, and personal protective equipment shall be disposed of in a covered container.

  • Reusable personal protective equipment shall be sanitized prior to reuse.

  • All reusable tools and implements shall be cleaned with an antimicrobial wash and then sanitized or sterilized after each service.

  • Any surfaces touched will be sprayed and wiped down with Hospital grade cleansers and disinfectant. (sink, faucet handle, tabletop, chair, door handle, ect.)

  • I will also be using an essential oil diffuser in my room with sage oil in it to help purify the air.  Sage oil is an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial just to name a few.

I am so grateful to be taking care of you at the salon and want to offer our space as a tranquil getaway from everything that is going on. I am so grateful to have you as a client and by you keeping your regularly scheduled appointment, allows us as a salon to be able to support ourselves and our families during this difficult time. Of course, if you have any questions about this, please feel free to reach out!

We will continue to monitor the latest advisories on the virus and take additional measures, as needed. Everyone’s health and safety come first.

Thank you,

Kelly LeBlanc
